I'd say you have to get another test. If you haveve tested very early then a faint line may appear due to the level of HCG (pregnancy hormone) still being relatively low. Also, you should never read a pregnancy test after the recommended time. Get yourself a couple more tests. One for now and another for tomorrow morning as this is when the pregnancy hormone will be most concentrated. If it still only shows a faint line then wait a few days and then test again.

p.s. I meant to say that it is extremely rare if not nigh on impossible to get a false positive (my fertility consultant told me this) so if there was a faint line definitely test again and again in a few days! Have everything crossed.
