I've read that dogs can "smell cancer." Is this true or just some crazy rumor? Please include links!

Yes, dogs can smell cancer, it is not just some crazy rumor.

According to National Geographic dogs can smell cancer

in a patient's breath.

It is amazing that dogs can do that! I truly believe God sent us Dogs to be our guardian angels.

Yes in a book I read a woman's dog detected melanoma (a type of skin cancer ) from a mole she had developed on her thigh
