A guy told me to poison them, but I thought that would be bad for the environment. Am I right?

One great thing to do is to plant marigold flowers around the whole perimeter of your garden. They not only "discourage" rabbits - but they also "discourage" insect pests.

The first year you do this, it may seem like a lot of work - but the marigolds have many seeds and if you turn the ground in fall- most will come up again the next year - saving you time and money.

Rabbits are also going for easy stuff - so if you have fruits and veggies that are just a little too old for humans to eat - set them outside away from your garden & I have had rabbits go for those instead of my own plants.

Better for the environment? Don't use any poisons or pesticides. If you have to - I'd say - eat the rabbit like a previous poster. But if you care for the enjoyment watching a rabbit can give - then try some FLOWERS as your defense.
