I have a wireless router in my house, but my Xbox is nowhere near it. Is it possible to bridge the wireless connection from my laptop to my 360 in order to acccess online services via Xbox Live. It would be very helpful if someone could tell me if they have managed to do it themselves, as I would rather save the £39.99 on the subscription if I learn that it is not possible. Thanks

Yes you can.

What you want to do is connect your laptop to your router wirelessly.

Then you need to connect your xbox to your laptop via ethernet.

-----

Then you want to open control panel and select network connections, right click the wireless connection (the one that gives you internet) and click properties. Click on the advanced tab and check the box asking "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection". Then in the drop down box, select your Xbox connection (which should be called Local Area Connection)

If that doesn't work, ignore everything I said after the ----- and do this:

Highlight both connections and click bridge connections. Feel free to get in touch with me about this :) Always happy to help!

Oh and yes I have managed to do this myself!!
