HD is the next-generation video standards, it is not one specific video equipment, but a system. Currently there are three kinds of high-definition format, 1080i, 720p and 1080p. 1080i and 1080p video image of each frame has 1080 scanning lines, 720p each frame video image has 720 scan lines. But 1080i is interlaced scan mode used, each frame is done through the two scans, each time only half the actual number of scanning lines is 1080 / 2 = 540 lines, divided into odd lines and even lines. 1080p and 720p progressive scan mode is used, each frame is the actual scanning lines to 1080 lines and 720 lines. Progressive scanning and interlaced scanning can be solved in the flicker caused, so to see some fast action with lots of programs such as football and other sports competitions, 720p is more appropriate than the 1080i. Conversely, if the program did not appreciate the actions of too strong, then the 1080i provides a more detailed image.
