Ok well i just bought a pool last week but i havent gotten in unfortunately because its a "rises as it fills pool" but while i was filling it there was this damn tree that the wind easily removed yellow stuff like leaves or something and it got all full of it and now my pool is full with that yellow leaves and bugs and some dirt on the bottom. i now bought a cover but i guess its too late it so dirty.. i dont wanna drain the pool cuz it 3000 gallons thrown away. i also tried this Skooba Vac that was supposed to remove debris and leaves but it says to insert it on the "out" outlet but wtf it shoots water instead of sucking it in, and the one that sucks the water in is not connectable with the Skoobvac hose. is there any old school or any other better way to clean it up? thks!

Your best bet is to buy a simple brush and screen. That will get the big stuff. You should also add chemicals, in particular chlorine, to the pool. You need to add only a small amount of chlorine on a regular basis. Since your pool has a lot of debris in it from the wind storm, you probably should start off with adding twice the regular amount. Then, in a couple of days, check the chlorine levels (2 parts per million) twice per day.

At 3000 gallons, you need to add, on a normal basis, only about 12 ml to the pool. 12 ml = 2/5 of an ounce. So, if you add one ounce of liquid chlorine on the first treatment, that should be plenty. After that, you'll need to add about 1/2 an ounce as needed per day.

If you're going to keep the pool running on an external filtering system for the season, you might want to take a clean glass jar with a clean lid and take a sample down to a pool supply store. They will analyze the water's chemicals for you and SELL you the chemicals you need to keep the water clear and clean.
