there was one in our bathroom. it was on a hair straighter. do we need to be concerned that it came off of someone in out family or out dog?? if it did do they multiply while they are "feeding" on humans and dogs? if it's in the house is it likely that there are more in the bathroom or around the house somewhere???

thanks

If you live in an area known for ticks, it is always a good idea to inspect your person or family members including the family pets for ticks after any trips outdoors. This is definitely tick season and the probability is that the tick you found rode in on someones clothing and was brushed off. Once a tick attaches itself to a person or pet, they usually do not fall off until forcefully removed. Insect repellent made especially for ticks, fleas, chiggers, etc. is advisable for both you AND your pets. It is inexpensive insurance. I recommend it if you are spending much time in the woods. Good luck.
