Hey I would like to re stain my wood stocks on my shotgun, but I'm not sure how to break down the fore grip or the barrels. I know how to get the rear stock off but that's it. Any help would be greatly appreciate it. It's a twelve gauge that shoots 2 3/4 or 3 inch, but I'm not sure about the year. I know it's no older than 1980.

Spanky,

I don't have this particular make of shotgun, but in the world of double barrel forearms, if it's not screwed on then it pops on and off. There should be an opening at the front of the forearm to slip in your thumb and pull down. The stock should pop loose. After you remove it, open the action and the barrels should separate from the weapon. When reassembling the forearm snaps back in place. Have fun and be safe.
