HI, here is my problem,
I purchased an air ticket from Cameroon to Kiev to and fro through Brussel. I transited throught Brussel when coming to Kiev and I wasn't asked a transit visa (I reach at 7 a.m and left for Kiev at 7 p.m).
The problem is when I will go back home, I will be staying in brussel from 12 a.m till 10 p.m the next day. Do i need a transit if I have to spend the night at Brussel transit area?
When purchasing the ticket they told me I don't need a visa since I am a Cameroonian citizen and will be staying less than 24 hours at the airport. I just want to be sure about the visa issue if I am to spend the night. Thank's for replies

You will need to get a visa (type C) for the transit via Brussels airport. Citizen of Cameroon are exempt from the Belgian Airport Transit Visa (ATV, type A) if they stay in the international transit area. Since the Brussels airport applies to night flying restrictions (no flight departures after 10pm and before 6am) only same day transit without ATV is possible.

To spend the night in Brussels you will actually need to enter the country and to pass immigration, hence require a visa (type C). It can be applied for at the Embassy of Belgium in Kyiv with appointment or on walk-in basis at the Commercial Application Centres in Kyiv, Lviv, or Odessa.
