Will a swim cap help keep water out of my ears when I swim?

Or rather ear, singular, since it only seems to be a problem for my right ear, since I breathe to the right. I don't really care about areodynamics since I'm not swimming competitively, so I don't want to waste my money on a cap if it's not going to help.

It might, or you could get those squishy earplugs, though I was never a fan of them.
