i keep missing these tackles, they just always seem to hand me off

are there any tips or techniques that will help me to tackle the number 8

Basically watch where the ball is in the scrum.

And have a lose bind,the losest you can get is bound by the forearm, then you lean off the scrum waiting. And as soon as you see him grab the ball (in 1 or 2 hands) you can run at him, get off the mark first, this way it will encourage him not to go your side and he will make less ground.

If you dont know how to tackle a hand off well basically push his arm out of the way with your inside hand and then hit the usual tackle area (above the knees below the lower ribs)
