I have a wireless router in my house, but my Xbox is nowhere near it. Is it possible to bridge the wireless connection from my laptop to my 360 in order to acccess online services via Xbox Live. It would be very helpful if someone could tell me if they have managed to do it themselves, as I would rather save the £39.99 on the subscription if I learn that it is not possible. Thanks

1. You won't be able to play backed up games on a NON MODDED Xbox 360 console.
2. Microsoft runs a diagnostic on your account every once in a while to see the games ID Signatures that are used to write the game's software. If they see that it is a duplicate of anything, they will ban your entire Xbox 360 from live!
Hope this helps!

My computer is about 25 feet away from my Xbox 360, and I was thinking about using a long Ethernet Cable to connect. I know how to do it if it works, but is my internet fast enough. It is currently at 36 Megabytes Per Second(Mbps) and sometimes as low as 9 Mbps. Will it work and will it be fast enough to a point where there is no lag?

Like, do I need a router, or can I do it right into the computer or something, or maybe another way? Does the speed of the actual computer matter? And will the connection to Xbox Live be good?
I want to connect to Xbox Live SOME way, but all I have is the USB device.
This device is just a USB device by Sprint that I use for the internet. It's all I have.

Yes, the Xbox 360 would be pretty much pointless without Xbox Live because the only reason Xbox 360 owners give for the Xbox 360 being better than the PS3 is Xbox Live, and everytime I hear them say that, it makes me want to laugh because an Online Game service doesn't make a game console, it's the games.
But don't get me wrong, the Xbox 360 has some pretty good games out, but it's just that Microsoft reveloves everything around Xbox Live and without it, I think that the Xbox 360 wouldn't have anything.

When i first got my xbxo 360 i connected it directly to my modem. I got the ethernet cable out of my pc and then put it into the xbox 360. Everything went fine, the 360 connected and i played on live. The next day i put the ethernet cable back into my pc and i couln't connect to the internet. I fixed this by calling up my isp and they resetted my modem. I was again able to browse the internet on my computer but once i put the ethernet cable back into my xbox 360 it wouldn't connect to live anymore, i don't know what the problem is. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. And i have now bought a router before someone tries to recommend me buying one.

However, when I attempt to detect wireless networks on my 360 it finds my neighbors but not mine. The signal is strong, I've enabled UPNP, what can I do now??
